PDAXScope: BTC eyes $68K, ETH climbs, CLARITY update

Bitcoin rally faces key test at $68,000 as ‘summer slumber’ grips crypto, analysts say (CoinDesk)

Bitcoin’s recent rally is approaching a key test at around US $68,000, a price level where many investors who bought earlier this year could decide to sell after breaking even, as reported by CoinDesk. Analysts say Bitcoin has rebounded about 15% from its July lows, but it will need to break above this resistance level to keep the rally going. While spot Bitcoin ETF inflows have stabilized, trading activity remains relatively quiet as many investors stay on the sidelines during the typical summer slowdown in crypto markets.

Ether breaks the $1.9K resistance: Is $2.1K the next target for ETH bulls? (Cointelegraph)

Ether (ETH) climbed above the US $1,900 resistance level for the first time in seven weeks, helped by a broader recovery in the crypto market and strong investor demand for staking, as reported by Cointelegraph. About 34% of all ETH is now locked in staking – a record high – which reduces the amount available for sale and may support prices. However, analysts say Ethereum will likely need stronger market confidence and positive economic news before it can sustain a move toward the next key level of US $2,100, as on-chain activity and trading volumes remain relatively subdued.

New CLARITY Act update bans officials including presidents from issuing or even holding crypto tokens (CryptoSlate)

A revised version of the U.S. CLARITY Act would prohibit senior government officials – including the president, vice president, members of Congress, federal judges, and their spouses – from issuing or sponsoring cryptocurrencies while in office, as reported by CryptoSlate. Officials who already own crypto would reportedly need to sell certain holdings or place them in qualified blind trusts to avoid conflicts of interest. The updated bill aims to strengthen public trust while creating a clearer regulatory framework for digital assets, but it still needs bipartisan support before it can become law.
