Bitcoin reclaims $80K as DXY falls amid continuing suspected yen intervention (Cointelegraph)
Bitcoin rallied more than 5% to around $81,000 as the U.S. dollar weakened, partly due to a suspected Bank of Japan intervention that strengthened the yen, as reported by Cointelegraph. The U.S. Dollar Index fell to around 99, a move that has historically been supportive for Bitcoin, while markets are now pricing in a 98% chance of a Bank of Japan rate hike on September 18.
XRP ETFs pull in $170 million over 11 days. Goldman tops institutional holders (CoinDesk)
U.S. spot XRP ETFs have recorded 11 straight trading days of inflows, bringing in about $170 million during the streak and $1.68 billion since launch, as reported by CoinDesk. Goldman Sachs was reportedly the largest disclosed institutional holder as of June 30 with about $87.4 million in exposure, though these holdings may include market-making or hedged positions and do not necessarily mean the bank is making a direct long-term bet on XRP.
BlackRock drives $217M Bitcoin ETF rebound as altcoin funds continue streaks (Cointelegraph)
U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs returned to net inflows with $216.7 million, reversing the previous session’s $201.8 million in withdrawals, as reported by Cointelegraph. BlackRock’s IBIT accounted for about 95% of the day’s total with $205.9 million, while Ether, XRP, and Solana ETFs also continued their own inflow streaks.
